November 20th 2008 In a Nutshell

Last Thursday we added a very special girl to our family. Kendall Jane was born at 1:40 in the afternoon. She was 6 lbs .03 ounces 18.5 inches long. We love her very much already. There hasn't been a night yet when I don't enjoy being up with her. I am so grateful for the chance we have to have her in our family. She has crazy dark puffy brown hair, we can't wait to figure out what color her eyes are going to be. She screamed as soon as they got her out, but hasn't really used those skills since then, unless of course she is STARVING. She likes to eat, maybe she will be a heavyweight.

Rylin is such a good big sis. She was a little nervous at first at the hospital, but soon wanted to hold her and give her kisses. Kendall gave her a Belle doll, which made Rylin's day.

I can't wait to learn more about Kendall as she grows, I am already so proud of Ry, I can only hope she can teach her all of her good tricks.

I thought Dustin looked pretty scrumptious in his little get-up (I made him bring it home) :) We have some pretty sweet pictures of Kendall being pulled out of my stomach, but I thought I would save you all and not post them. If you are interested, contact me and we can make a deal for you to see them :)

YIKES!

Seriously, already? Yep, tomorrow is the big day. At 12:30 we will have  a new addition to our family. Hopefully she will be tipping the scales at least at 6lbs or so. It is crazy to think about it already happening! Now we just have to agree on a name. I used to be able to blame it all on Dustin but lately he has been really thinking of some cute names and I veto them, which is what he does to my ideas. Anywho, enjoy the little snapshots above that he took for me tonight. I love how in the first one I look like I have a Kim Kardashian booty. For those of you who are waiting for your family pictures, I will get on that ASAP.

They're up

There are finally some pictures up on our photo blog from last Saturday. Take a gander if you want.

Is it too late for pumpkin pictures?

In October Rylin fully enjoyed the whole pumpkin carving thing. She was all into it pulling out the guts and all. When it was time to light it up she screamed when I sat her next to it so she ended up just standing 10 feet away. I love her outfit of choice, the necklaces, the hat, the pumpkin stained onesie. If you noticed that I have no actual Halloween pictures it is because we didn't go trick or treating. Every time I even brought a costume close to her she completely went Emo and freaked out. So hey, I wasn't going to force her to go trick or treating, although I would have liked the candy.

GREAT!

Our family picture experiment on Saturday went well. It was fun as soon as the rain stopped and then the sun even came out. I will be putting some examples on my photog blog hopefully later today so keep checking. The 15th has some openings now since I won't be having a baby! So please call/email to get some pictures done.

Being Pregnant

I had my 36 week appointment on Friday. It started with a non-stress test where they monitor the baby's heart rate for about 20 minutes. Everything was great. Then I went to see my doctor and we did an ultrasound. At my last appointment she was concerned about my BP again and the size of the baby since RyRy was only 4 lbs 9 ounces. On the ultrasound baby is already measuring about 5 lbs 8 ounces. With Rylin it was only 2 ounces off. So the way I figure it, the baby will be HUGE! It is pretty funny that Dustin and I are so excited that she busted the 5 pound mark! Anywhoo, we rescheduled the c-section for Nov. 20th as long as everything keeps going well and our HUGE baby keeps growing. We have another appoinment this Friday. I will be 37 weeks and that is when I had Rylin. So hopefully baby will have gained some more weight and passes the NST again. We can't wait! Besides Rylin's crazy emo-ness these past couple weeks, I know she will be a great big sis and will be a huge help. It is weird to think that she will have sister, but I feel like she will always be my baby.
My sis-in-law took these pictures of me last week, I think she did a great job, and of course we had fun.
