Rylin loves her cousins, and has a strange obsession with them sometimes. She is so excited when she gets to spend time with “yaya” and “minmee”. Actually, we have a picture of Brinlee on the desktop of our computer because Rylin was FREAKING OUT when I got off Sarah’s blog because she “wants to see MINMEE.” A few weeks ago we had Asher (Yaya) over for a bit and they were messy after dinner and took a bath. I just love how he is only 2.5 months older than her and is twice her size. He better do a good job protecting these girls when they get older, put his muscles to the test.

These girls
Oh Lady. Kendall keeps us on our toes, she is so sweet but lets you know her feelings about things. As a matter of fact she is feeling pretty neglected as I write this…maybe you can imagine what that emotion sounds like.?!
Rylin likes to sit on her “pink poddy” but will seriously sit there for hours on end with a drink in her hand and not go “poddy” once. Sheesh. I am not too bugged by this YET. I think it is because I myself am not fully committed, it isn’t just her, but she looks pretty cute on the pot…a weird concept I know (someone looking cute on the pot) if anyone can look cute on the pot it HAS to be your own kid. Excuse the nakedness, I think it is blurry enough to be legal :)

Allie the witch
While taking some pictures of this sweet baby on Saturday, I came across this one, doesn’t she look like she should be on a broom flying through the air? It is just too funny. To see some that are more serious, go ahead and click here. For real this time.

We went to the park!
The sun has actually kind of peeked out this week which has gladly relieved Ry of some cabin fever. She doesn’t like to smile for pictures these days…but she really did have fun…she even cried when we had to leave (Zeke cried too)
Don’t you love Kendall’s spooked eyes!
On a lighter note, Rylin and Kendall have matching favorite blankies now. Kendall assumed the position with her fingers through the holes exactly like Rylin did when she first started to love it.
PS- Rylin threw away her pacifiers this week. It was kind of a rough start but is back to normal now. She is such a big girl, it seems like she was just Kendall’s age. Sometimes I don’t want to put KJane down because I know this time goes by so fast, I am even guilty of letting her sleep on my tummy sometimes just because she is still small enough too.

KJS+RDS=BFFL
These days, little Miss Kendall Jane keeps us smiling. She so special and we are so grateful she joined our family 8 weeks ago. She started smiling a few weeks back and is amazingly strong, she has been holding her head up for weeks now and has also been standing for about a week. Rylin loves her so much and Kendall loves her big sister too. Actually, Ry was the first one to get a real true live smile out of Kendall. We love our girls!

Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve we went to Grandma and Grandpa Sockick's house to eat too many finger foods, re-enact the Nativity, and have some fun. And it really was a lot of fun.
All the Soptich grand kids trying to hold still for a picture
It was sooo fun to watch Rylin and Brinlee. They were angels with Aunt Amanda and couldn't contain their excitement waiting for their time to shine. Watch out New York, in 18 years you will see the names "RyRy and Minmee" in bright lights all over the place because of their awesome acting skills.
Who could forget the dancing, oh the dancing...and the singing. Never to be forgotten!
When we came home that night we let Ry open a Christmas book that tells the story of the first Christmas She loved it.
We had a great Christmas, the year seems to fly by and next Christmas will be here before we know it...which means Kendall will be 1 already. I can only imagine how much fun it will be and will just continue to get better.
Baby's First Christmas
A couple days before Christmas we started a new tradition. I thought it would be fun to let each of the girls pick out a new ornament. Of course Rylin found and Ariel one, the only princess type ornament left at Hallmark and OF COURSE Kendall had to have the "baby's first Christmas" one. This is a fun tradition that we will definitely continue next year.
